In order to construct a wider data set on a series of papers dealing with the Germanic foot, vowel systems and output constraints in a hybrid GP/OT model of Northwest Germanic languages, I am seeking native speakers of a number of language/dialects who are able to make a sound file of a word list, pronouned in citation form. The recording need not be of the highest quality (fine-grained phonetic analysis is not needed). I am thus looking for decent quality recordings from native speakers of the following languages/dialects: Afrikaans Zeelandic Flemish Limburgish Luxembourgish Frisian Low German (Plattdeutsch, Low Saxon). If you would be able to make a recording, please contact me either at sterntheo gmail.com or theodore.stern umontreal.ca. I can then send you the directions along with the word list, as long with the other necessary information (permissions, langauge background information, etc.). Thank you, and I hope to hear from some of you soon!
