Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago invites applications
for a one-year full-time lecturer position in Basque language and culture, with
renewal possible based upon funding availability and satisfactory performance
and review. Applicants are expected to have expertise in teaching the Basque
language and culture to speakers of English.

Minimum teaching load is six courses per year; this includes a first year (three
quarters) of Basque language, as well as three additional graduate and/or
undergraduate courses as departmental and university needs dictate, plus
advising and service responsibilities.
