Description:
EF is searching for a doctorate-holding specialist in computer-
assisted language learning to lead initiatives in blended learning,
instructional systems design, materials and tools development, and
teacher training. We are looking for a qualified and energetic applied
linguist to join our worldwide academic operations and development
team in Zurich. You will bring your extensive experience of blended
learning design and implementation to contribute to the growth of
EF's pioneering language learning system used in our schools
worldwide. You will have extensive English language teaching
experience, ideally in the private sector, especially with university
and young professional students, as well as a passion for cutting
edge learning technologies and their potential. You will also have led
teams, managed budgets, juggled priorities, and met challenging
deadlines. Experience with editorial development of learning
materials, from planning through to production is desired. Your
doctoral studies will have been focused on second language
acquisition and language teaching, making you an ideal fit with an
experienced, innovative, and creative academic team. Before

Requirements:
- PhD or EdD in Applied Linguistics or closely related field;
candidates with Master's level or other degrees will not be
considered for this position
- 5-10 years experience in English language teaching in both
academic and commercial contexts, with a focus on CALL and the
use of new media
- Evidence of leadership, innovative curriculum design, and
materials development
- Excellent organizational skills and project management
experience
- Outstanding writing and editing ability
- Excellent mastery of English, additional languages a plus
- EU/Swiss passport or pre-existing ability to work in Switzerland; we
are unable to sponsor other candidates without exception
