The English department at the University of Tübingen invites applications for
the position of W1 Lecturer (Juniordozent/in) in English linguistics.
The position is due to commence on October 1st, 2012 and is for a period of
four years with the possibility of an extension by a further two years.
The successful candidate will be expected to present the subject of English
linguistics in all its dimensions, with the main focus of teaching being on
Bachelor (BA) courses, teacher training courses (Lehramt English), and other
degree programs in which English linguistics participates.
The position carries a teaching load of 12 hours. Requirements for an
appointment are an excellent PhD dissertation in a relevant topic, university
teaching experience at various levels, and proven didactic competence.
The University of Tübingen is particularly interested in applications from
