I am a Master’s student at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil), and I have been carrying out research on phonetics and phonology of English under the supervision of Professor Rosane Silveira. This research is important in the sense that the findings may guide English teachers and students choices when teaching/learning this language. With the intent to conclude this study, I am now collecting data from native speakers of English from different nationalities. Therefore, I would like to invite native speakers of English to participate in the data collection process of this study, which will help teacheres and researchers from the area to better understand the acquisition of English by speakers of other languages. The results will also form the basis of my thesis to be defended in December 2012. In order to participate in this research, please access www.comprehendingl2speech.com, register as a Native Speaker of English, and follow the instructions. You should use Google Chrome to access the website, since it does not work properly in other browsers. Participants can contact me at any time by e-mail( thaissuzana gmail.com), or Skype (thais22suzana). Best regards, Thaís Suzana Schadech
