11th International Conference on Greek Linguistics The Division of Linguistics of the Department of Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean is pleased to announce the 11th International Conference on Greek Linguistics, to be held in Rhodes, from 26 to 29 September 2013. The conference will also feature a) a pre-conference workshop for MA and PhD students, to be held on Thursday 26 September and b) a small number of thematic workshops to be held in parallel with the main conference (from the 27 to 29 September 2013).
Call for Papers: Papers and workshops in the area of the analysis of the Greek language are welcome. A. Abstract submission for the main conference and the pre-conference workshop (oral or written presentations) Researchers interested in participating with an oral (20' and 10' for discussion) or written presentation in the main conference or the pre-conference workshop are invited to submit their abstracts. The abstracts must be written in Word (.doc, .docx or .rtf format). Researchers are kindly requested to submit their abstract by 31 December 2012 to the following electronic address: icgl11-abstracts aegean.gr. The following information should be included in the main body of their message: 1. Name(s) 2. Title(s) 3. Institution 4. Area of Linguistics (Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Historical Linguistics, etc.) 5. Oral presentation/written presentation/oral or written presentation 6. Pre-conference workshop/Main conference Abstracts should follow the guidelines below: - Length: One A4 page (including references) - Fonts: Times New Roman 12pt - Margins: all 3cm - Author/Title: Capitals, centered, top of page Researchers may submit either one single-authored and one co-authored abstract or two co-authored abstracts. B. Abstract submission for the thematic workshops Researchers who wish to organize a workshop are pleased to submit an abstract detailing its content. Workshops on all areas of the analysis of Greek are welcome. Priority will be given to workshops on a) typology, b) language contact and c) dialectology. Abstracts should be written in Word (.doc, .docx or .rtf format) and sent by 15 November 2012 to the following electronic address icgl11-abstracts aegean.gr.
