Role: Senior Software Engineer (Dialogue)
Location: Ulm, Germany
REF: 8013

Role Description:
As a Senior Engineer (Dialogue) you will integrate the automotive framework
components VoConHigh/Prompter/Audio into the Dragon Drive! prototype
through Java interfaces. Contribute to a generic dialog framework architecture
based on experiences from the prototype development. You will report to
Senior Manager Automotive Engineering SDK.
- Working in an international application development team on a next
generation automotive speech prototype
- Integration of ASR and TTS through high-level APIs into Java dialog
manager of prototype system
- Alignment with other Nuance framework groups to ensure synergy and
reuse among groups
- Implementation and test of defined use cases for prototype demonstrations
- Quality assurance through definition and setup of appropriate unit test
suites
- Support definition of product-level dialog system architecture on basis of
prototype development

Skills and Experience Required:
- Academic degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
- Some years of relevant working experience
- Very good programming skills in Java and C/C++
- Experience in integration of complex software systems
- Strong software engineering skills (requirements analysis, SW design,
system architecture)
- Broad experience with speech dialog systems
- Fluent in English (very good written and oral skills)
- Good networking and communication skills
- Team player

Preferred:
- Knowledge of (Nuance) ASR and TTS technology
- Experience with development for embedded systems
- (Near) native speaker of German
