Level: MA/PhD Linguistic fields: languages in contact, second language acquisition, heritage languages Language specialty: Spanish Application deadline: February 15 (but some flexibility) Supporting institution: The University of Western Ontario Support description: The University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario, Canada) offers opportunities for students to pursue a funded MA or PhD in Hispanic Linguistics (Hispanic Studies graduate program in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures). Amount of funding depends on type of student (international, Canadian, MA, PhD) and includes the opportunity for a teaching assistantship or a research assistantship. Students may conduct research on any area of language contact with Spanish (syntax, morphology, phonology, pedagogy).
