Cepstral is seeking a Software Engineer-Speech Application Developer to join our team in working on the next generation of our speech applications for Windows. The successful candidate will have experience programming in C/C++ for Windows environments. Duties: - Create cutting edge speech technology applications - Maintain, develop and test software to deliver TTS on Windows - Provide both end-user and developer support - Proactively contribute to the adoption of software architectures, best practices and technologies - Be a team player, providing feedback on others' projects Requirements: - Excellent programming skills in C/C++ (1 to 3 years) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Linguistics or equivalent experience - Good spoken & written communication skills in English - Interest in speech and language technology Pluses: - Experience with OS integration using Visual Studio and the Microsoft Speech API - Experience in User Interface Design or User Experience Assessment - Fluency in a foreign language - Experience with Java, Python and/or Perl - Experience in Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and/or Digital Signals Processing - Relevant graduate degree or foreign equivalent This job is located in Pittsburgh and is not a telecommuting position.
