Description:
Open English is seeking ESL lesson developers to work as
contractors on a 6-month project, 80% to full-time, with possibility for
permanent employment. Lesson developers may work remotely
from anywhere; ability to work onsite in Miami is a plus. Lesson
developers will have flexible schedules, but must be able to login
daily.
We are seeking creative, smart people who can think outside of the
box, who understand that learning is about interaction.
Lesson developers will work in small teams to create fresh, original
e-learning ESL lessons of the highest quality. We will train lesson
developers to use our content authoring software, and on our
standards and objectives (which include grammar points, discourse
functions, and key vocabulary).
Requirements:
- Masters degree in education, English, TESOL, fine arts, linguistics,
literature, cognitive psychology, or related field, or equivalent
experience
- Prior classroom teaching experience and/or experience in e-
learning curriculum design
- Tech-savvy; ability to learn new software quickly
- Creative and flexible pedagogical approach
- Must own a a reliable computer and have a consistent internet
connection
- Bilingual English/Spanish or bilingual English/Portuguese a plus
- Ability to work onsite in Miami (Coconut Grove) a plus
Pay:
Contract basis, $20/hr for recent graduates and up to $25/hour for
more experienced educators, with increases for quality work.
