Meeting Description:
This workshop provides an opportunity for a discussion and exchange of ideas on multidisciplinary research in academia by bringing together technologies from different sub-areas of speech, language technologies, learning sciences and education. For example, computational technologies like concordancing, text alignment, morphological processing, syntactic parsing, speech recognition and speech synthesis help in illustrating linguistic structures, providing varied exercise material and identifying and correcting errors of foreign/second language learners. Similarly, speech tools have many applications in helping the differently challenged learners.
Call for Papers: Instruction to Authors: Communication/Submission: Papers should not be more than 6 A5 sized pages (with any number of reference pages) and must conform to official COLING 2012 style guidelines (LaTeX and Microsoft Word templates given on the web site) in English language. Note: The submission of the paper should be done in PDF format (only) and submitted online at https://www.softconf.com/coling2012/SLPTE12/. Presentation Format: The workshop consists of two sessions: Oral and Poster. Papers accepted for this workshop have to make an oral presentation as well as have a poster/demo in the poster session. In oral session, the author(s) of each paper have to make a presentation of 3-5 minutes. This would be followed by a 1.5 - 2 hours of poster session, where detailed demonstration of a working system and/or interaction could take place.
