Possible fields of specialization:
-Language Acquisition

-Phonology
-Formal Semantics
-Computational Linguistics
-Psycholinguistics (a combination of 2 or more is highly desired)

Starting:
January 2013 (tenure track appointment)

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Linguistics (on hand by time of appointment)
-Native proficiency in Spanish

Responsibilities Include:
-Teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in linguistics and
grammar to (native) Spanish majors and non-majors, as well as Linguistics
minors.
-Availability to become chair or member of thesis committees.

Application Procedure:
Candidates must send their complete application package by October 26,
2011, both in written and electronic form (only pdf documents), to the

The application should include: curriculum vitae with list of publications
and teaching experience, three relevant references, two select
publications, copies of transcripts and diplomas, and a cover letter (in
Spanish) outlining your proposed teaching, research and contribution to the
University and the Department.

-Psicolingüística (preferiblemente una combinación de dos o más)

Enero de 2013 (contrato probatorio para permanencia)

Cualificaciones requeridas:
-Ph.D. en Lingüística (obtenido antes de la contratación)
-Competencia nativa en español

Los deberes incluyen:
-La enseñanza de cursos graduados y subgraduados de lingüística y gramática
para estudiantes de especialidad en Estudios Hispánicos y de otras
especialidades y para estudiantes de la secuencia curricular en lingüística
-Dirección o pertenencia a comités de tesis

Procedimiento de solicitud:
Los candidatos deben enviar su expediente completo en o antes del 26 de
octubre de 2012, en forma impresa y electrónica (en formato pdf), a la
dirección y e-mail abajo indicados.

La solicitud debe contener: un curriculum vitae con una lista de
publicaciones y experiencia docente, 3 cartas de referencia, 2
publicaciones, copias oficiales de transcripciones de créditos y diplomas y
una carta de presentación que describa sus propuestas de enseñanza,
investigación y contribución al departamento y a la universidad.
