Assistant Professor in Spanish
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at The University of
Texas at San Antonio invites applications for a tenure-track position at
the rank of Assistant Professor in Spanish starting in Fall 2013.
Responsibilities:
Teaching in the B.A. and M.A. programs in Spanish. Leadership in
development of new lines of research and teaching.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics, applied linguistics, foreign language
education, or related field in hand by May 31, 2013. University or college
teaching experience, fluent in Spanish. Research record or demonstrated
research potential commensurate with experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise and interest in heritage language learning or second-language
acquisition. Experience with grants and funding is strongly preferred.
