Inaugural European Conference on Education, to be held from July 11-14, 2013, in Brighton, UK Conference Theme: Learning and Teaching through Transformative Spaces As previous IAFOR Conferences on Education have shown, education and lifelong learning can be seen as a solution to a host of local and global problems whilst globalized education systems are becoming increasingly socially, ethnically and culturally diverse. Nevertheless, knowledge is often defined through discourses embedded in Western paradigms, as globalised education systems become increasingly determined by dominant knowledge economies. The Inaugural European Conference on Education extends these discussions to consider the pedagogic challenges of developing transformative spaces for learning and teaching.
