Middlebury College, located in Middlebury, Vermont, is a nationally

Position Description:
This is a regular, full-time academic teaching position.

General Responsibilities:
Responsible for curriculum development and delivery. Be available on campus
to meet with student and colleagues during the academic year. Maintain
professional currency in field of expertise. Thesis direction and reading.
Directed student supervision. Student advising. Attendance at faculty
meetings. Participate in events and activities that are essential to the
Institute.

Education:
EdD or PhD in Applied Linguistics or TESOL (ABD considered)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Design, develop and deliver excellent learning experience for graduate
students to assist their pursuit of professional skills and fulfillment of
their career aspirations.

-Contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practices in professions
relevant to the mission of the Institute.

-Collaborate and serve to achieve academic excellence in the business of
the Institute.

-Record of publications/presentations

-Willingness to participate in curriculum innovation.

Experience:
-Experience in teacher training/teacher supervision.

-Experience in teaching graduate courses for TESOL and Foreign Language
(FL) teachers.

-Experience in teaching various graduate level courses in applied
linguistics, including pedagogy and curriculum courses and SLA.
