MIT's Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences anticipates making a
faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level in cognitive science
or cognitive neuroscience. We seek outstanding applicants who are: (a)
conducting research in areas such as language, social cognition, knowledge
representation, reasoning, decision-making, or neuroeconomics; and (b)
using innovative methods, such as computational modeling, functional brain
imaging, behavioral genomics, and/or infant experimentation. In addition to
conducting research, faculty members at MIT teach undergraduate and
graduate courses, and supervise graduate and undergraduate participation in
research. PhD must be completed by start date of employment and some
postdoctoral training is preferred.
