The International Conference on Historical Linguistics is held every second year under the auspices of the International Society of Historical Linguistics. The most recent conferences took place in Nijmegen, the Netherlands (2009) and Osaka, Japan (2011). August 5-9 2013 the conference will take place in Oslo. We invite workshop proposals on any topic within historical linguistics or evolution of language. The proposal should not exceed 1,000 words, and should give a detailed description of the topic. Names of invited speakers funded by the organizer may be included, but we do not at this stage expect (or want) a list of participants. The workshop organizers will be solely responsible for selecting papers, and arranging the schedule and the program. Each workshop is an integrated, self-sustained event. Moving between workshops is not encouraged. Proposals for workshops should be submitted by email to ichl-oslo ifikk.uio.no by 1 December 2012. Notifications will be sent by the end of December. Linguistic Field(s): Historical Linguistics
