Meeting Description:

The University of Bergamo will be hosting the 5th International Conference on Late Modern English from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 August 2013. This follows on from four very successful conferences on Late Modern English (Edinburgh, 2001; Vigo, 2004; Leiden, 2007; and Sheffield, 2010).

2nd Call for Papers:

The CFP for the 5th International Conference on Late Modern English (LModE-5) has now been extended to 15 January 2013. Acceptance will be notified by the end of February, in good time to take advantage of the early registration fees (see http://wwwdata.unibg.it/dati/bacheca/1178/55408.pdf).

The Call for Papers, while taking a particular interest in the title theme, is also open to studies on any aspect of the history of the English language during the Late Modern period.

Proposals for papers, round tables, workshops and/or software demonstrations are welcome; an e-poster session will also be possible.

General information and guidelines for the submission of abstracts are available at http://www.unibg.it/LModE-5.
