Borealis: An International Journal of Hispanic Linguistics is accepting submissions for its two issues in 2013. As usual, we accept submissions for our three sections: articles, squibs and articles on the monographic topic. The first two sections accept contributions on any topic related to contemporary Hispanic linguistics, from any theoretical framework or linguistic discipline.

As for the monographic topic section, during 2013, the monographic topic will be the grammar of datives and accusatives in Spanish. As usual, we accept also papers on any topic for the non-monographic sections of the journal.
The deadline to submit papers for the first issue (June) is the 1st of April; the deadline for the second issue (December) is the 1st of October.
The topics we are interested in inside the monographic section include, but are not restricted to:
a) Relations between marking in accusatives and marking in datives
b) Semantics of datives and accusatives
c) Potential places to merge and move accusative and dative constituents
d) Fine-grained distinctions between accusatives and datives
e) Relation between datives and locatives
f) Clitic-doubling
g) Integration of accusatives and datives inside phonological units
h) Le > se
i) Leísmo, laísmo, loísmo
j) Argument alternations involving datives or accusatives
