Linguistic Field(s): Syntax

Meeting Description:

The cartographic enterprise in Syntax emerged and gained its name in a series of colloquia held in Italy in the late 90's and became widely known through the publication of the OUP series The Cartography of Syntactic Structures.

It is high time to take stock of the research that has been carried out within what has become one of the major sub-fields of research in generative syntax, make explicit the theoretical and empirical issues that it has elucidated and, perhaps most importantly, discuss the theoretical problems that it engenders and reveals, exploring and evaluating directions for future research.

The conference is open to the interested public and there is no registration fee. However, we do request that you preregister. This can be done by sending an e-mail to cartography.in.genevagmail.com with ‘Conference preregistration’ in the subject line and your name, address and affiliation in the message body.

Hotel rooms can be booked on http://www.geneva-tourism.ch. Book early!

For further information, please contact the organizers at cartography.in.genevagmail.com.
