Journal of Linguistics Sintagma (ISSN 0214-9141) is open for reception of contributions (articles and reviews) for issue number 23 (December 2011). Sintagma is a journal of linguistics that aims at promoting the exchange of knowledge in this area, regardless of any theoretical framework. Studies in both theoretical and applied linguistics are welcome, as well as works on any language or language variety, and contrastive linguistics. The only condition is that all submissions must be original and must not be under consideration by other journals or have been published elsewhere. Sintagma is a yearly publication founded in 1988. Name and affiliation of authors will be indicated in a separate file. - The deadline to send contributions is May 31st, , but it could finish before this date if a sufficient number of papers have been accepted to close the issue in process. - Papers can be written in Catalan, English, French or Spanish. Review Processes: Originals will be sent out for anonymous evaluation to two independent reviewers. Authors will be informed about the result of the anonymous peer review process within the period of three months after reception of original manuscripts. Final acceptance will require the implementation of any modifications suggested by the reviewers and the adoption of the norms of publication of the journal.
