We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate. In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have taken the trouble to respond to the query. To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at http://linguistlist.org/LL/posttolinguist.cfm.

We are looking for native speakers of English (18 years and older) for a web-based study of complex sentence comprehension. For this study we are using an innovative method that lets people participate from their own computer. They will record themselves while reading a sentence and will then judge its acceptability. Participation takes about 25-30 minutes. The first 60 participants will receive a $5 Amazon Gift Card as a thank you for helping us with our research. Please note that we are seeking participants who are not linguists or advanced linguistics students, so we are hoping you will share the following announcement with the students in your introductory classes. The survey is located here: www.speakingjudging.com/study If you have any questions, please contact Esther Schott (ESchott gc.cuny.edu) who is working with me on this project. Thank you, Janet Fodor Linguistics Program, Graduate Center, City University of New York
