Last year's conference aimed to provide an opportunity for CUNY undergraduate students and recent graduates to present original research and develop professional academic skills. Because of the success of last year's HULLS, this year we are pleased to accept submissions from undergraduate students with any institutional affiliation. Call for Papers: We welcome abstract submissions on original research on any topic of linguistics or language study. Abstracts will be accepted from any undergraduate student currently enrolled in a degree-granting program, and recent graduates who are not currently enrolled in a graduate program. Papers will be allotted 15 minutes with a 5-minute question/discussion period. Abstracts must fit one page with 1 inch margins and 12-pt font and should clearly present a thesis and a clear description of the topic, methods, and conclusions. Abstracts should be sent to hc.linguisticsclubgmail.com by midnight on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Notification of acceptance will be given by April 1, 2012. The abstract should be emailed both in the body of the email as well as an .rtf or .pdf attachment (which should not include their names anywhere in the abstract).
