Qs: Native English Speaker Survey: Irony Comprehension

Editor for this issue: Zac Smith <zaclinguistlist.org>

We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at http://linguistlist.org/LL/posttolinguist.cfm.

Hello Linguists!
I am a student at Adam Mickiewicz University looking for volunteers
who would like to help me and answer a questionnaire for me. The age
limit is 20-40 and the participants should be native speakers of English.
Link below:

http://www.test_ironia.republika.pl/exam.html

It will take only 15 minutes to perform.

My thesis concerns irony comprehension and reaction time connected
with processing the irony. I need to know whether the sentences are
ironic or not in the questionnaire. The sentences will be used in my
research.

Thank you for your help
