This is a federal grant-funded position with possibility for renewal contingent on continued grant funding. Requires M.A. (prefer Ph.D.) in second language acquisition, applied linguistics, language teaching, or linguistics with focus on second language acquisition. Applicants should have native or native-like proficiency in Turkish and English, demonstrated knowledge and experience in multiple level Turkish language teaching in an American or Turkish institution of higher education, ability to develop content-based teaching materials/courses and teach content-based courses in Turkish, and commitment to maintaining and strengthening the Turkish Language Flagship Center at IU. Demonstrated excellence in teaching Turkish at the university level is expected.
