Description:
Indiana University Turkish Language Flagship Center seeks full-time, non- tenure-track lecturer in Turkish beginning June 1, 2012. This is a federal grant-funded position with possibility for renewal contingent on continued grant funding. Requires M.A. (prefer Ph.D.) in second language acquisition, applied linguistics, language teaching, or linguistics with focus on second language acquisition. Applicants should have native or native-like proficiency in Turkish and English, demonstrated knowledge and experience in multiple level Turkish language teaching in an American or Turkish institution of higher education, ability to develop content-based teaching materials/courses and teach content-based courses in Turkish, and commitment to maintaining and strengthening the Turkish Language Flagship Center at IU. Demonstrated excellence in teaching Turkish at the university level is expected. Submit letter of application, curriculum vitae, documentation of teaching ability (such as a summary of teaching evaluations), a statement of teaching interests, and the names and email addresses of three referees by mail or email to the application address or email address below. Letters of reference should be submitted directly by three recommenders. For full consideration, materials must be received by March 3, 2012.
