MLA members host an annual convention and other meetings, work with related organizations, and sustain one of the finest publishing programs in the humanities. For over a hundred years, members have worked to strengthen the study and teaching of language and literature. Call for Papers: The Discussion Group on Germanic Philology welcomes papers addressing any aspect of Germanic Linguistics and Philology to be presented at the 2014 MLA Annual Convention in Chicago, 9-12 January 2014. All presenters must be registered MLA members by the time of the convention. Please submit your 250 word proposal by March 15 to Stephen Mark Carey (smcarey morris.umn.edu).
