Meeting Description:
The Wedisyn network for research in dialect syntax (Dialect Syntax in Westmost Europe) shall hold the next annual meeting from 18th to 19th April in Santiago de Compostela. Wedisyn is a research network that brings researchers together working on languages spoken in Westmost (continental) Europe. This networks’ main goal is to share knowledge and expertise in the collection and analysis of syntactic dialect variation.
The network took off in 2009 and nowadays it involves researchers from eight institutions; their research covers eight majority and minority languages altogether: Asturian, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Galician, Occitan, Portuguese and Spanish.
