Additional expertise in any of the following three areas would be a plus: language education and teaching methodology, usage-based and cognitive linguistic approaches to second language acquisition, or technology in language learning. The successful candidate will bring a robust research agenda which complements the strengths of the applied linguistics program. S/he will teach two courses per semester and help mentor doctoral students. Resources include a conference travel budget and a research/teaching assistant. Applicants must have completed all requirements for the PhD degree by the time of appointment.
Georgetown University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. Women, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Georgetown University is interested in applicants with experience and interest in 1) communities of color, 2) cultures other than their own, 3) culturally diverse groups, and 4) developing and implementing curricula that address multicultural issues.
