Description:

The Faculty of Humanities at the Higher School of Economics (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia) is planning to apply for a grant of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science in order to establish a research laboratory in Applied Linguistics. To win the grant we need an experienced and established foreign researcher working in the field of Applied and/or Corpus Linguistics to head the research laboratory planned in the framework of the grant.

The Higher School of Economics (HSE) is the largest higher education and research institution of social sciences in Eastern Europe. The Faculty of Philology (HSE-Moscow) in collaboration with the Faculty of Humanities (HSE-Nizhny Novgorod) carries out researches in the different aspects of computational linguistics.

The laboratory is planned for two calendar years (2013-2015). The members of the laboratory will be researches of different branches of humanitarian knowledge (mainly linguists) employed in 3 campuses of the Higher School of Economics (Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg). According to the grant documentation, the foreign scientist should be physically present in Russia for a total or at least 4 months in each calendar year with possible intervals or continuously. The monthly salary is planned up to €8.000.

The applicant should meet the following requirements:
- High citation index
- Experience in managing research
- Experience in training research and teaching
