The Department of Linguistics and the program in Modern Greek Studies at the University of Illinois are delighted to announce the 3rd Annual Midwest Greek Linguistics Workshop which will take place at the Urbana campus on Saturday, May 18, 11am-4.30pm.

This year's plenary speaker will be Dr Anastassia Loukina (PhD Oxford, 2008) and the title of her talk is: 'Nature versus nurture in phonetic variation: what can we learn from Greek dialects?'.
