Meeting Description:

We are very pleased to announce the 3rd International Conference on Phonetics and Phonology (3rd ICPP), to be held at the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL) on December 20-22, 2013. This three-day conference is supported principally by NINJAL as one in its series of international symposia.

The 3rd ICPP features the following three main topics:

(a) Sokuon, or geminate consonants  
(b) Accent and tone
(c) Rendaku and voicing

Call for Papers:

Your abstract must involve at least one of the three main topics. If it does, any presentation is welcome even if your presentation is not concerned with Japanese. There will be a special session on tonal change. Abstracts on this topic will be particularly welcome.

Oral presentations will be by invitation only. We will not be accepting abstracts by oral presentations.
