The University of North Texas invites applications for the position of
visiting assistant professor in Linguistics, Department of Linguistics and
Technical Communication, beginning fall 2013. UNT, located in the culturally
and economically vibrant Dallas/Fort Worth area, is a dynamic, rapidly growing
institution that is now the fourth largest university in Texas.
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in linguistics or applied linguistics.
Teaching experience and a knowledge of ESL Teaching methods and second
language acquisition at the graduate level preferred.
Candidates will be expected to teach courses in linguistics at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels. The teaching load will be 4/4.
The University of North Texas is an emerging national research institution
located in the vibrant and rapidly expanding Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan
area and situated close to DFW International Airport.
