Meeting Description:

The Institute of International Relations in Yekaterinburg holds a yearly conference on linguistics and intercultural communication. By the beginning of the conference, a collection of abstracts of variable size is usually published as a book. Participation in the conference requires either submitting a paper and giving a talk, or just submitting a paper.

Call for Papers:

This year we invite abstracts on the following topics:

- Phonetic, lexical, and grammatical systems and methods of their research
- Text linguistics
- Stylistics and text interpretation
- Basics of formal approaches to language description
- Sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics and pragmatics
- Discourse of intercultural communication, problems of its analysis and application
- Issues of translation theory, its practical application and teaching
- Modern and innovative approaches to foreign language teaching in different types of educational institutions
- Psycholinguistics
- Actual problems of area studies
- Chinese studies
- Actual problems of discourse analysis
- Modern tourism as intercultural communication

Please send your abstracts in .doc or .tex extensions and make sure they do not exceed a 10-page limit (font size 12, single-spaced). The anonymity requirement is not applied.
