Post-doctoral position: Comparative Linguistics and Cognition, Typological studies in Language.

The LaTTiCe Research Center in Paris, France (UMR8094 CNRS - Ecole Normale Supérieure http://www.ens.fr/) invites applications for a Post-doctoral research position on the following research topic : “Comparative Linguistics and Cognition, Typological studies in Language" . The project aims at designing stimuli with elicitation and video clips based on a cognitive linguistics framework for an ongoing "Give and Exchange" research ( Bouveret M., Evans N. and Sweetser E. in progress, Labex TransferS). The languages considered for exploration are partly left to the ongoing project and partly left to the choice of the candidate (one or several languages: Standard Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, and/or Hebrew will be highly considered for the project). The language of work can be either French or English.

The salary is 2000 euros net per month. Possibility to find lodging at the ENS, boulevard Jourdan, Paris. The position is available at the LaTTiCe Research Center for 9 months, starting in January 2014.

Priority will be given to excellence in academics and experience. Application should be sent by September 5, 2013. Candidates must hold a PhD in Linguistics when they apply for the position.
