Hi!
I am studying English and have been wondering for a long time why children (toddlers) refer to themselves in 3rd person (mostly by their name). I have found many theories, but no scientific evidence, papers yet. It would be very helpful to receive some useful links or information concerning procedure, age, problems, etc. of acquiring the ''correct'' personal pronoun use in young children.
Thanks for your help!
