In celebration of the journal’s founding more than 50 years ago, De Gruyter Mouton is proud to present some of Linguistics’ most precious contributions to the world in a special jubilee issue. Available completely open access, the commemorative issue features five inspiring studies published in Linguistics over the last 50 years by some of the great scholars in the field, and one that will herald the sixth decade. Hand-selected by Editor-in-Chief Johan van der Auwera, the ground-breaking original articles are supplemented with commentaries by the authors themselves. The issue also includes a fascinating description of the history of the Linguistics journal, from its inception to the present.
