The Department of French Studies invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in French language pedagogy, with a specialization in applied French linguistics or French language education/acquisition. The successful candidate will design and coordinate lower division language courses; train and supervise graduate teaching assistants; teach undergraduate language courses and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in language pedagogy and applied linguistics; and undertake research in areas of expertise commensurate with LSU's Carnegie Classification as a RU/VH (Research University--very high research activity).
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in French or equivalent
- Native or near-native proficiency in French
- Previous experience in coordination of language courses highly desirable.
