PhD Studentships at the University of East Anglia

The University of East Anglia (UK) is pleased to be able to offer a number of AHRC and Faculty PhD Studentships across all areas in the Arts and Humanities, including Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication.

AHRC PhD Studentships:
We are pleased to announce Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funding as partners of the Consortium for Humanities and the Arts South-East (CHASE) – culminating in up to 75 studentships for September 2014 entry. These are open to UK and EU applicants. UK residents’ awards consist of fees and a maintenance payment. EU residents’ awards are on a fees-only basis.

UEA Arts and Humanities PhD Studentships:
Up to 10 University-funded PhD studentships are available to students from within or outside the EU. Faculty studentships cover tuition fees (UK/EU rates), a tax-free maintenance grant (currently £13,726 per year) and a research training support grant. International students are welcome to apply but must be able to pay the difference between UK/EU fees and international fees.

Application Deadline for ALL PhD Studentships: 31 January 2014.
NB: The application process for AHRC CHASE studentships involves two stages, therefore applicants are recommended to apply as soon as possible.

Further Information and How to Apply:
To be considered for these awards, you should make an application for admission to a PhD in the normal manner. You do not need to submit a separate application form to be considered for a studentship.
