The Department of Translation and Language Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona seeks to make a tenure-track appointment with a teaching specialization in general translation from English into Catalan and Spanish to begin September 2014.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to excellence in research, attested by relevant publications, in any of the fields included in the Department and a demonstrated ability to teach translation of English into Catalan and Spanish and coordinate the teaching of this subject in the degree programs in which the Department participates. The ability to teach in one of the following areas will be a strong merit: oral interpreting, translation of specialized texts in science and technology, communication, and documentation. Candidates must hold a PhD at the time of application.
