The venue will be Edinburgh University’s Informatics Forum, right in the centre of Edinburgh. The conference will be co-hosted by the CASL Research Centre (Centre for Audiology, Speech and Language, Queen Margaret University) and CSTR (the Centre for Speech Technology Research, University of Edinburgh). Call for Papers: We invite papers on all aspects of ultrasound-based vocal tract imaging, with topics in phonetics, phonology, speech science, image processing, second language learning, speech and language therapy, etc. Abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific panel. The deadline for abstracts to be submitted for review is 31 March 2013, with notification of acceptance on 30 April. There will be a charge for registration for attending the conference. Abstracts may be submitted in *.doc, *.pdf or *.txt format. They should be one page or less with a minimum font of 10pt single line spacing. Figures and tables may be included. Submission must be done online using the following link: http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/ultrafest2013. Submitted abstracts may be edited at any time up to the close of acceptance on 31 March.
