We would like to invite you to participate in the II International scientific interdisciplinary conference ‘Ethnicity, Language and Culture: Past, Present, Future’ to be held on 18-19 April 2013 at the Rivne Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education, Rivne, Ukraine.

The ‘Ethnicity, Language and Culture: Past, Present, Future’ is the II International scientific interdisciplinary conference on the question of ethnic identity and conceptualization of spiritual, cultural, social and educational dimensions of the national life in language, arranged by the Rivne Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education. It brings together researchers from a broad range of academic disciplines, working within different theoretical and methodological paradigms in a creative, internationally oriented and friendly atmosphere. The importance of national and ethnical language domains is now generally recognised, and the conference offers an opportunity to present and learn about research findings concerning ethnical senses uses in different types of human communication, and their cognitive, cultural, narrative, poetic, rhetorical, social, textual or discourse functions.

Working languages: Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, and English
Conference fee: 25 euros to be paid during registration

Actual problems of ethnolinguistics and linguocultural studies
Concepts and constants in language
Theoretical and applied problems of linguistics and translation
Actual problems of comparative semantics
Problems of linguodidactics
