Full Title: Hunter Undergraduate Linguistics and Language Studies Short Title: HULLS 3 Date: 04-May-2013 - 04-May-2013 Location: New York, NY, USA Contact Person: Maryam Bakht Meeting Email: < click here to access email > Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics Call Deadline: 25-Mar-2013 Meeting Description: The Hunter Undergraduate Linguistics Association (HULA) is pleased to announce the Third Annual Hunter Undergraduate Linguistics and Language Studies Conference (HULLS 3), which will take place at Hunter College on May 4, 2013. We are pleased to welcome undergraduate students with any institutional affiliation. Call for Papers: We welcome abstract submissions on original research on any topic of linguistics or language study. Abstracts will be accepted from any undergraduate student currently enrolled in a degree-granting institution, and recent graduates who are not currently enrolled in a graduate program. Papers will be allotted 15 minutes with a 5-minute question/discussion period. Abstracts must fit one page with 1 inch margins and 12-pt font and should clearly present a thesis and a clear description of the topic, methods, and conclusions. Abstracts should be sent to hc.linguisticsclub gmail.com by 12:00 pm on Monday, March 25. Notification of acceptance will be given by Friday, March 29. The abstract should be emailed both in the body of the email as well as an .rtf or .pdf attachment (which should not include their names anywhere in the abstract). In addition, the following information should be included in the message: - Paper title - Author(s) name(s) - Author(s) affiliation(s) - Email address of each author
