I am Lwin Moe, a programmer here at LINGUIST List. I am originally from Burma, also known as Myanmar. I came to work at LINGUIST List as an intern a few summers ago, and came back as a programmer after graduating from Indiana University. Before I tell you more about what I do at LINGUIST List, here is a link to donate if you will: https://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm
I am a co-administrator for LISTSERV software, where LINGUIST List is hosted. I also create tools and programs for LINGUIST List crews to do their day-to-day tasks for posting. Last year, we built data entry tools for the Endangered Languages Catalogue project. We exported the data to Endangered Languages Project website at endangeredlanguages.com. I now maintain the website after LINGUIST List was tasked with updating it.
I was able to become a part of the LINGUIST List crew because of your support last year. I would like to take this opportunity to request a small donation from you to support what we do here. We would not be able to provide the linguistics community with the resources if it were not for your generous support. Here is the link to donate if you decide to do so: https://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm
Thank you, Lwin Moe
This Year the LINGUIST List hopes to raise $75,000. This money will go to help keep the List running by supporting all of our Student Editors for the coming year.
See below for donation instructions, and don't forget to check out Fund Drive 2014 site!

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Eastern Michigan University and as such can receive donations through the EMU Foundation, which is a registered 501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax return (U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact your financial advisor.
Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a simple administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if your company operates such a program.
