Meeting Description:

The Linguistic Society of the North East is pleased to announce our international conference on linguistic communication. The conference will be held at the North-Eastern Federal University located in Yakutsk, Sakha Republic, Russian Federation. The official language of the conference is English.

There is no registration fee for the conference, thanks to the support of the North-Eastern Federal University’s Development Program. There will be an organized tour to several tourist attractions after the conference.

4. Cognitive linguistics

Submission Guidelines:

- The deadline for submission of presentation proposals: March 31, 2014.
- Notification of workshop presentation acceptance: April 15, 2014.
- The program of the conference and the abstracts will be available online in May 1, 2014.

Abstracts should be no longer than two pages of A4, with 2.5 cm or one inch margins, single-spaced, with a font size no smaller than 12 (Times New Roman), and with normal character spacing. An additional page may be used for data and references. Full papers will last around 15 minutes with around 5 minutes for questions. Please specify the preferred area of your presentation in your abstract.

Submitted abstracts should be anonymous. You should include your name, affiliation and email in a separate file. Submitted abstracts should be sent to inter_conf_yakutsks-vfu.ru.

Please use one of these formats for your abstract: .rtf, Word, .pdf, or plain text. If you need to use a phonetic font in your abstract, either embed it in a .pdf file, or use the Doulos SIL font, which can be downloaded for free from this site: http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts.

The participants presenting papers may stay in a university dormitory, free of charge, during the conference.
