'Languages in a Multicultural world: Language contact, variation and change; language and educational policies in a multilingual society'

The conference will touch upon the issues of languages in a multicultural society and identity, dialect and contact linguistics, intercultural communication, sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic aspects of language variation and change, language policies, and multilingualism and education.

Call for Papers:
Abstracts for workshops, posters, and papers should be no more than 400 words in length. Abstracts for proposed papers should be submitted to conference_2014mail.ru. Please include your name, affiliation, email address, and a brief biography. Add 5-6 keywords pertaining to your topic.
Submission deadline is February 28, 2014.
Full paper submission will be required upon the confirmation of the paper acceptance. The full papers will be published in a conference materials book. Prior to publication, papers will be reviewed by an editorial committee.
Proposals for colloquia, panel discussions, workshops, posters, and paper presentations are invited in the following areas, as well as others related to the conference theme:
Language in a multicultural society:
- Language diversity, multilingualism, and identity
- Dialect and contact linguistics
- Cultural awareness and intercultural communication
- Sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic aspects of language variation and change
- Language policies, language rights, and advocacy
- Language communities and intercultural communication
Educational aspects of a multilingual society:
- Principles and best practices in language acquisition
- Multilingual and multicultural education
- Language standards
- Content and culture learning in the language classroom
