Linguistics Department at the University of Potsdam, Germany, is searching for candidates (PhD students) with a background in Linguistics or Psychology with a focus on Psycho- and/or Neurolinguistics.

The offered position is within the framework of a research project entitled “Ich sehe was was du nicht siehst – Common ground and contrastive information in children’s and adults’ reference resolution” funded by the DFG as part of the Priority Programme “XPrag.de: New Pragmatic Theories based on Experimental Evidence.” The objective of the project is to study processes underlying reference resolution in children and adults as a contribution to further develop and sharpen theories on Pragmatics in language acquisition and on the integration of pragmatic information during language processing. Experimental methods to be used include eye-tracking and ERPs.

Previous experience in experimental research with children and/or in collecting and analyzing EEG and/or eye-tracking data is desirable.
