The editors of Anglica: An International Journal of English Studies, a peer-reviewed annual print journal published by Warsaw University Press (www.wuw.uw.edu.pl) under the auspices of the Institute of English Studies, University of Warsaw, invite submissions for Volume 23 on English linguistics. We welcome contributions in language synchrony and diachrony, sociolinguistics, and language contact. For more information on the journal, please, visit our website: www.angli.uw.edu.pl/anglica.

The suggested maximum length of the paper is 12 pages (27000 characters with spaces) including the reference section and notes. The article should be preceded by an abstract of approximately 100 words. Authors are also asked to provide a short biographical note, approximately 50 words.

The deadline for contributions is 30 April 2014.
All papers will be 'double blind' reviewed by two independent reviewers by 30 June 2014 and the issue shall be published by the end of September 2014.
