Abstract:

Note: The author proposes an alternative origin for Kechua and Aimará, namely from the Sumero-Assyrian family of languages. With this thesis being long refuted, especially volume II and III lose much of their academical value for contemporary linguists.

However, the present volume (I) has its uses. It still offers a comprehensive ground for ethymological comparisons between several American Indian languages, for example Kechua, Aimará, Innok, Aleutian, Unalashka, Shayenne, Miami, Mohikan, Ottawa, Skoffi, Mikmak, Algonquin, Shawni or Surikoa.
