Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,

I am Ememobong Udoh, a Nigerian linguist with constant contact with LINGUIST List. I had been with LINGUIST List between June and November 2012 as an international intern, and everything about my stay at LINGUIST List (then at
Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti) was taken care of, by LINGUIST List. I am quite sure that this was courtesy of your kind donations to LINGUIST List. What I am saying in essence is that your kind and gracious donations have not only helped LINGUIST List to keep her guild of well-trained editors and programmers in a comfortable working condition, but have also helped in a very special way to train linguists and non-linguists at home and abroad.

While at LINGUIST List, I met with other international students who were equally delighted to be there. I got some training on several things especially MultiTree and LL-Map. We were also trained on some computational tools by Damir and others. I cannot forget LINGUIST List in a hurry because this training has really helped me in my academics; and Linguistics students in my university (University of Uyo, Nigeria) have, by extension, benefited
from the knowledge I acquired at LINGUIST List.

The LINGUIST List is expanding with much more promises of enhancing the Internet infrastructure of linguistics. The expansion and improvements cannot happen without you. Many more international students want to be at LINGUIST
List and the list needs money to bring them and also keep them. That is why I am making this avid appeal to you for continued assistance especially in this fund drive season.

Please donate to LINGUIST List. We need your donations to do much more for the world and to stay afloat.

Thank you,
Ememobong UDOH
