I would appreciate hearing from anyone (send message to me at
carolgcc.utah.edu) who has or uses a PLP laser printer from
GCC technologies and has figured out how to use postscript or
postscript-quality fonts on it. I need to use phonetic fonts
with this printer that won't just bitmap (in, say, Times).

I am looking for any literature on LESBIAN/GAY LANGUAGE. I have found a few
things, mostly from the mid-70's to early-80's. Can anybody recommend any
articles or books you have found on this subject, especially recent

Can anyone advise on mechanisms for expressing indirect questions, in any
language, that does not involve question words? By "indirect question" I
mean a form like "I don't know who stole my watch" in English, or
"wo3 bu zhi1dao shei2 tou1 le wo3 de shou3 biao3" in Chinese, which both
express ignorance of the identity of the person that stole my watch using
the question word "who" (resp. "shei2"). In English, "who" could also be
a relative pronoun, but only relative pronouns that coincide with question
words can be used in this construction (*"I don't know that stole my watch")
and "shei2" is solely a question word, not a relativizer.

If there are any languages that use an entirely different mechanism, I would
appreciate the details. I find it quite hard to think clearly about these
constructions, and I hope that understanding a different way of handling
them would shed some light on the topic. Please note that I don't have access
to university libraries out here in the ".com" domain. Ignore the address
